Back How
To Install Fonts (It's Easy!)
Once you have downloaded and decompressed a font file, you need to install the
font into your system before you will be able to use it. Here's how: For
Windows 95 and 98:
Before you can install a font, you first have to download
and decompress the file. You will also need to know where on your hard disk
the decompressed font file is!
Click the Start button on
your Windows Task Bar.
Select "Settings"
from the popup menu.
Select "Control Panel"
from the sub-popup menu.
Double-click on the "Font"
icon.
In the Fonts window that
opens, go to the "File" menu and select the "Install New Font"
command.
Navigate to the place on
your hard disk where you have the decompressed font file.
Select the font that you
want to install and click on the "OK" button.
Close the Font window and
the new font is installed!
For Macintosh:
Before you can install a font, you first have to download
and decompress the file. You will also need to know where on your hard disk
the decompressed font file is!
Double-click on the icon
for your hard disk so that the window showing you the files and folders is visible.
Locate the icon "System
Folder". (You need to be able to see the System Folder so that you can drag
the font on top of it.)
Locate the icon for the font
you want to install.
Click and hold down your
mouse button on top of the font file, then while continuing to hold down the mouse
button, drag the icon for the font file on top of your System Folder until the
icon for the System Folder becomes highlighted.

That's it, the font is installed!
